I remember my first pole fitness class like it was yesterday. I tried to get some of my friends to take the class with me, but when it came time, they backed out. This didn’t stop me though. I went by myself and never looked back. Not only was my experience challenging physically and mentally (forcing me to step outside of my comfort zone), I met some amazing women and we have remained great friends.

Pole fitness provided me with a unique way to workout while building my confidence inside and out. After about a year of classes, I decided I wanted to share this awesome workout with other ladies in hopes to provide them with the same results, so I became an instructor. I look forward to classes as an instructor just as much as I did as a student.

The pole fitness workout is not only a strength training workout, but also provides students with flexibility training, coordination training, and dance training. One of my favorite moments while teaching is to witness a student conquer a difficult spin or hold she has been working on and feel great about it. I have taught ladies
who had very little upper body strength and now their arms are lean and defined and they can hold their own body weight. I have also taught students who have hit target weight loss goals much faster than expected.

pd_008-400x302The beautiful thing about pole fitness is that women of different shapes, sizes, ages, backgrounds, and occupations can enjoy classes and achieve whatever their goals may be. Personal goals range from simply loosing weight, strength building, self confidence, love of dance, learning to dance, gymnasts looking for something new, learning to embrace being a woman, fun with friends, or just an escape or stress reliever. Whatever the personal goal may be, if you take a pole fitness class, you will have a lot of fun waking up muscles you didn’t know you had.

When does  Body Edge offer Pole Fitness?

Classes start each month for 4 consecutive Wednesday nights.
